Appeals and Appeal Submission

Students whose cases have gone through an Honor System hearing may be eligible to appeal the outcome of their case. The Honor System recognizes three specific grounds for appeal: Insufficiency of Evidence, Violation of Basic Rights, and Severity of Sanctions. Students who feel that their Honor System process has been impacted by the aforementioned grounds may file and submit an appeal petition to the Office of Student Conduct for review. Appeal petitions are reviewed and either granted or denied by the Judicial Programs Officer. Please note that appeal petitions are due no later than five business days after receiving the Honor Court’s rationale of their decision.
